Hear Today’s experienced audiologists provide caring and professional hearing assessments for children of all ages. For parents, baby feeding is welcomed and facilities provided for nappy changing and milk preparation. Children may be referred by parents, doctors or other health, allied health and education professionals.
Why hearing is an important part of your child's development?
Hearing speech clearly is important for children to learn to speak, as children learn to talk by hearing spoken words and listening to sounds which surround them. Hearing levels which are adequate for speech and language development are vital for ensuring to children reach their developmental milestones in this area.
Causes of hearing loss in children can range from mild hearing loss (where a child may hear most but not all the different sounds that surround them) to significant hearing loss where a child may be completely unable to hear.
If you have concerns about your child's hearing it is recommended you have their hearing tested.
